Here’s what you’ll need to get started as a Support Worker with HVS.

Before commencing your role with Hunter Valley Supports, you’ll need to obtain the following clearances and meet our requirements. We’ll guide you through each step of the process.

Working With Children Check

If you work with children or young people in any capacity, you’ll need a current WWCC. We’ll guide you through the process.

  • There is a cost of $107 for paid workers.
  • Standard identity documents required.
Service NSW
Required

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

Required for all support workers delivering NDIS services. We’ll send you instructions on how to apply through Service NSW.

  • There is a cost (average $100, varies by state).
  • Standard identity documents required.

You’ll be advised if these apply to you. Generally, at no cost. Standard identity documents required.

First Aid Certificate

If you don’t have a current certificate, you’ll need to enrol within one month of starting and provide evidence of completion.

Qualifications —
Child & Family Services (NSW, Qld, SA)

Specific qualifications are required by government funding contracts. Must be completed within three months of commencement. We will provide details.
